A tool that lets you search and add any Pokemon to a 6-slot team and instantly see their defensive synergy.
🎯 What is it used for?
Identify if your team has a glaring weakness (e.g., 3 Pokemon weak to Fire) so you can swap members to fix it.

Use the search bar to find Pokemon. Added Pokemon will automatically update the Analysis panel on the right.

Why Proper Team Building Matters
In both competitive Pokemon and challenging single-player runs like Nuzlockes, having a balanced team is the difference between victory and wiping out. A team consisting only of your favorite Dragon types might look cool, but a single fast Ice-type opponent can sweep your entire squad. Our analyzer instantly visualizes these glaring type weaknesses.
Defensive Synergy and Coverage
A good team relies on \"synergy\" — the ability of your Pokemon to cover each other's weaknesses. If you have a Water-type Pokemon that is weak to Grass and Electric, you should pair it with a Ground or Flying type to switch into those incoming attacks safely. Our visual chart helps you ensure that no single attack type hits more than half your team for super-effective damage.
Planning for the Elite Four
Before facing the Pokemon League in any game, it's highly recommended to plug your final team into the builder. Check if you have reliable answers for the specific types the Elite Four members use. This simple step saves countless hours of grinding and ensures your team is tactically sound.

Does the Team Builder support all generations?
Yes, our team builder includes Pokemon from Generation 1 through Generation 9, including regional forms.
How is the team weakness calculated?
We analyze the primary and secondary typings of all 6 Pokemon on your team against all 18 attack types to show cumulative defensive weaknesses and resistances.
Can I save my teams for later?
Yes, click the Save button and your team will be stored locally in your browser so you can access it anytime.
Does it account for abilities like Levitate?
Currently, type analysis is based strictly on base typings. You will need to mentally adjust for abilities like Levitate or Flash Fire.
What does defensive synergy mean?
Synergy means your Pokemon cover each other's weaknesses. If one is weak to Fire, another resists Fire and can switch in safely.
Is this for VGC or Singles?
The type analyzer is universally helpful for any format, whether it's VGC doubles, Smogon singles, or in-game playthroughs.
Can I add items and moves?
Our current builder focuses on typing and core team synergy. Move and item tracking may be added in a future update.
How many teams can I save?
You can save as many teams as your browser's local storage allows (usually hundreds).
Can I export my team?
We plan to add Pokemon Showdown export functionality soon.
Why is a balanced team important?
Without balance, a single opposing Pokemon could sweep your entire team if you share a common weakness like Ice or Ground.
